The drastic change in lifestyle, and going from lectures and libraries to full time office work! It was a massive change and at first it was difficult to get used to. Plus, I was scared going from lectures with my friends to meeting a bunch of new people. Q: What five words would you use to explain your job search as a recent grad? Difficult, Time consuming, Lucky, Competitive, Fun. Q: What is it about your situation now that makes you a happy grad? I am in a role that I am comfortable with, and although I'm in a small business with no room for promotion, it is giving me the experience I need to develop in a different role when the time comes. I have also just received a pay rise after 6 months! Q: What are the best things about your current role? Freedom to work on different aspects of marketing and managing my own project. We manufacture an interesting product. I love marketing and I am the only person in the marketing department! Q: What advice would you give recent grads today about leaving college, and finding a career and life they love? Use your school career advisor. That's how I got most of my interviews. It's difficult to go it alone. Q: What are some of the best things about being a recent grad? Having money!
